Cable Car-aoke is exactly what it sounds like: the London Cable Car has been transformed into a series of private karaoke booths in the sky, soaring between Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks every Thursday and Friday evening until 16th October 2026.

What actually happens
You book an entire cable car cabin for your group (up to eight people), step inside, and find it has been kitted out with microphones, party lights, a speaker system, and a curated playlist of 1,000 songs to choose from.
Then you ascend 90 metres above the Thames and sing your heart out while the city glitters below you. The journey takes around 10 to 12 minutes each way, with the option to go back and forth for the duration of your session.
The playlist covers pop anthems, rock classics, and (crucially) the guilty pleasures.
Whether you’re going full Beyoncé or committing to a dramatic power ballad in the style of someone who has definitely watched too much X Factor, the setting makes everything feel significantly more cinematic than your average karaoke booth.
There are no neighbours to disturb. There are no other tables. There is only the Thames, the skyline, and whatever song you’ve had queued in your head all week.
Practical Information
Price: £69 per cabin (not per person). Split between a group of four that’s £17.25 each. Split between eight it’s less than £9. One of the better-value London night-out maths you’ll do this year.
Opening Times & Dates: Thursdays and Fridays only, 5pm to 10pm, from 10th September to 16th October 2026. Book in advance, it will sell out.
Duration: The journey is 10 to 12 minutes each way. Sessions allow multiple crossings.

Worth knowing before you book
The cabin holds up to eight people, so this works brilliantly as a hen do, a birthday treat, or just a Thursday evening with friends who are up for something genuinely different.
The Greenwich Peninsula location also puts you minutes from The O2, which means combining Cable Car-aoke with dinner at Peninsula Restaurant or drinks at BOOM Battle Bar makes for a full evening rather than just a quick experience.
It’s the kind of night out that becomes a story. Book it. Tell people about it. Go in knowing you will absolutely sing something you will deny later.
